Arcadia
Start with Tip 1 and keep going until you get the guidance you’re looking for.
-
On the back of this card, you’ll find clues for six made-up creatures. Each is a combination of two real animals that overlap on two letters. Work together to name them all. Then, see if you can piece together what to do next...
-
For example, the first clue is “It’s pink, it perches on one leg, and it’s got horns.”
You’ll need to name two animals. One is pink and perches on one leg. It starts with an F (and is a bird).
The other animal has horns (and makes a bleating sound).
Heads up: the next tip will reveal the answer for the first clue.
-
For the first clue, the first animal is a FLAMINGO.
The second animal is a GOAT.
Together they make a FLAMINGOAT.
-
Heads up: the next tip will reveal the answer for each clue.
-
The animals are:
Flamingoat
Camelephant
Orcat
Komodove
Parrotter
Kangarooster
-
What do you notice about each name?
-
Each name has one letter that’s highlighted. What might you do with those?
-
If you put the letters in order from clue 1 to 6, you’ll spell L-E-A-V-E-S.
-
Now, how might you use the words you’ve revealed from all 3 cards so far (Labyrinth, Oracle, Arcadia)?
-
At the Labyrinth, you revealed the words SEARCH and BENEATH in the mazes.
At the oracle, you revealed the word GOLD.
Now, at Arcadia, you’ve revealed the word LEAVES.
What might it mean to “search beneath the gold leaves?”
-
Where have you seen gold leaves?
-
Take a closer look at the envelope…
-
The envelope liner shows gold leaves. Try gently lifting the liner up and see what you find underneath…
-
Underneath the liner, you should find a card that says “Olympus,” along with two invitation cards.
